Nowadays, renting a decent apartment in Spain at an affordable price is an impossible task. In the market the supply is scarce and the available homes are through the roof, which greatly harms young people. Emancipation is no longer so simple. The cost of rent, which is around a thousand euros per month in large cities, also affects groups of workers in more precarious conditions.
For example, Madrid is one of those that presents the most problems in this matter. It occupies the highest positions in the ranking of the most expensive cities to rent a home and the square meter is paid at 17.35 euros, only surpassed by Barcelona (19.75 euros), according to a report prepared by the real estate portal flats.com.

The first offer they presented is for a 28 square meter studio to share located in the Madrid neighborhood of San Fermín. In such a small apartment there is only one room, so the subtenant chose to offer the sofa as a rest area at a price of 250 euros per month. He received so much criticism that he decided to delete the ad hours later.

Equally surreal is the offer to rent an apartment in Palos de Moguer, next to the Atocha station. The studio, also 28 square meters, is rented at a price of 2,000 euros per month. But beware, the ad has a catch. The interested party must trust the owner, since the rental must be formalized without seeing the apartment. In the ad he makes it very clear. What’s the catch? This is an apartment without windows. Of course, according to ‘Espejo Público’, the property is already rented.
