Ill for several years, the mayor of Narbonne, Didier Mouly, died this Sunday, October 8 at the age of 72. The news was communicated by his first deputy Bertrand Malquier. The councilor suffered from a long illness. Elected mayor in 2014, then re-elected in 2020 with 43.57% of the votes in the second round during a quadrangular, Didier Mouly (DVD) was also president of the Greater Narbonne urban community.
In a press release paying tribute to this “lover of Narbonne”, the town hall affirms that he has “left his mark on the territory, by undertaking, with his team, numerous major transformations” including the “modernization of public space” . The PS president of the Occitanie region, Carole Delga, also paid tribute on Sunday evening in a press release to this “worthy successor to his father, Hubert Mouly, who preceded him as town hall of Narbonne” from 1971 to 1999.
