With just days to go before the Republic Day celebrations, the Delhi Police today (Friday) found a bomb in the Gazipur flower market.
Following the information about the bomb, the Delhi Police sent a team of bomb disposal experts to the spot. Fire trucks were also dispatched to bring the situation under control. Realizing the seriousness of this, the National Security Forces were dispatched.

National Security Forces officials told ANI: “The bomb detonated in Gazipur was defused by a National Security Forces bomb disposal team. Samples have been collected. A report on the chemicals used will be submitted later.”
Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana told ANI by telephone that the bomb had been seized “based on information received”.
A case has been registered in the Delhi Police Special Cell, according to the Delhi Police.
