Stick drift has become a nightmare for fans of shooter games, making it difficult to detect direction accurately and ruining the gameplay experience. Many players resort to buying new controllers to solve the issue, but Sledgehammer Games has taken a different approach.

In their latest update, Sledgehammer Games has introduced a gameplay solution to combat stick drift in Modern Warfare 3. Players can now test and correct their stick drift using the new setting implemented by the game developers.

The stick drift setting can be found under the “controller” section in the settings menu. At the bottom of the list, there is a section titled “dead zone inputs,” which allows players to access the stick drift settings. On the right-hand side of the screen, players will see a diagram displaying both the left and right stick, as well as both triggers. All four components can be adjusted according to the player’s needs.

To test for stick drift, players can utilize the “test stick dead zone” option in the dead zone setting. This feature enables players to freely move their sticks and observe the exact location on the map. By identifying the direction that requires adjustment, players can determine the minimum or maximum values that need to be changed for that specific stick.

While there is no specific map for the trigger buttons, players can find the trigger settings at the bottom of the same pull-down menu. The settings provide a diagram for both triggers, allowing players to adjust the pressure applied to the buttons.

It is essential to note the default values for the dead zone inputs before making any changes. Each slider has a set number corresponding to a controller without stick drift. If players wish to revert to the default settings, the values are as follows:

Left stick min: 10
Left stick max: 99
Right stick min: 10
Right stick max: 99
L2 button dead zone: 13
R2 button dead zone: 13

Sledgehammer Games’ initiative to address stick drift in Modern Warfare 3 demonstrates their commitment to enhancing the gaming experience for players. The gameplay solution provides an alternative to purchasing new controllers, allowing players to enjoy smooth and accurate controls in the game.

With this latest update, fans of Modern Warfare 3 can now experience improved gameplay without the frustration of stick drift.
