The date is still not set but the period is targeted: the inauguration of the PSG Campus will take place in spring 2024. Initially scheduled for this fall, it was postponed for various scheduling reasons. Its organization at the start of next year will be of significant interest for managers: in the meantime, the women’s team and the residents of the training and pre-training centers will have moved and all these little people will finally be gathered in Poissy.

From January, the club’s hopefuls will follow their academic and sports training in the same place. A real revolution on which Victoriano Melero, general secretary of the club, is actively working. The school building, at the heart of the Campus, will accommodate nearly 130 students, girls and boys, from 4th to 12th grade. Everything has been designed to offer budding champions the best working conditions: 23 classrooms, a conference room, 2 computer rooms and a practical work room.

The installation of the women’s team will also be a strong symbol. For the first time since the professionalization of the section, they will benefit from the same infrastructure as the boys.

Send back the image of a large family finally reunited in the same place

Since the start of the season, they have inherited the facilities at Camp des Loges, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. A transitional stage before a permanent move to Poissy at the beginning of January. Marie-Antoinette Katoto and her partners will therefore be at home when Nasser Al-Khelaïfi cuts the ribbon. For the Qatari president, the image is highly symbolic. For him, it is fundamental to convey the image of a large family finally reunited in the same place. A huge place (74 ha) where everything is dedicated to performance. A place where Luis Enrique feels so good that he decided to spend his days and nights there. A place which will welcome, by 2026, the handball team and the judokas.

Because the work is not yet finished on the Poissy side. On the second plateau, west side of the complex, the construction of a gymnasium and a dojo will be launched in 2024. The construction of the 3,000-seat stadium remains on hold even though the building permit has been filed.

Since July, the pros have taken possession of these exceptional infrastructures with, as their nerve center, the main building of the campus. 12,000 m2 with a huge fitness area, a circular changing room, a balneotherapy area, a restaurant. Upstairs, 43 luxury rooms welcome players on the eve of home matches.

“I’m the first person to have slept here and I can say it, it’s wonderful,” enthused Luis Enrique on July 5, the day of his official presentation. It’s comfortable without necessarily being luxurious, perfectly suited to gamers.” The latter are rave about the quality of the land and infrastructure. As winter approaches, the immense complex still lacks heat. There is no doubt that the upcoming installation of girls and young people will give it life and a soul.
