These are requests like buy bikinis for some soccer players and for your friends or buy tickets to the main nightclubs on the island, such as the famous Ushuaia.

In fact, this Tuesday, Rivera declared himself under investigation at the National Court and was questioned about these chats. Also, about the purchase of bikinis, which he alluded to as part of his role as “qualified collector” of the footballers during their trip to the Balearic Islands, which they assured that they began planning in April as part of an agreement with the Consell de Ibiza.

Before the judge, Rubén Rivera presented his work in those days as merely logistical—that of an “intermediary”—and has maintained that he was in charge of “putting some people in contact with others” within the Federation. In any case, he has denied that he coerced or pressured the athlete.

Thus, this Tuesday he assured Judge Francisco de Jorge that he only conveyed to Jenni Hermoso “the message that they were calling her.” Specifically, as he noted in her statement as an investigator, he notified the soccer player that he intended to speak with her, the then director of the Spanish soccer team, Albert Luke. Something that – Rivera said during his statement – ​​did not surprise him, given the good relationship between this manager and the player.

For this reason, he was not particularly interested in the reason for this claim. Luque, in fact, traveled to Ibiza to try to talk to Hermoso.

However, both Jennifer and her brother Rafael Hermoso – the latter, also as a witness – stated that the kiss “was not consensual.” However, a few hours after it happened, both the player and her relative considered it, before the media, as an anecdotal, unimportant gesture.

Now, in her statement before the Prosecutor’s Office, before this judicial case was opened, the world champion alleged that, after winning the World Cup, she minimized the importance of the kiss so as not to spoil the celebration of the sporting milestone for her teammates.
