The seizure occurred in a house inside a luxury condominium in Barra da Tijuca, an upscale area of Rio de Janeiro. The weapons were hidden in wardrobes and in suitcases distributed throughout the house. During the action, federal police officers also located weapons and ammunition inside three luxury vehicles, which were also seized. Still inside the house, the police found machinery and an entire structure for assembling and maintaining firearms. According to investigations, the weapons would be distributed to drug traffickers and militiamen operating in communities in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
