On October 13, the inhabitants of the Earth will be able to watch the Southern Taurids starfall, reports starwalk.space.
Conditions for observing the Southern Taurids are reportedly ideal as the starfall almost coincides with the new moon, meaning the moon will not “brighten” shooting stars. The number of meteors will be about 5 per hour.
The meteor shower has two peaks, the second of which will be on November 5 in 2023.
