3 security fences announced in San Salvador

The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, reported through social networks three new security fences that will be developed in the department of San Salvador, specifically in: Popotlán and Valle Verde, in Apopa; and La Campanera, in Soyapango.

According to the president, since early Wednesday morning, a total of 3,500 soldiers and 500 police officers were deployed, who were distributed in the 3 security fences.

Notably, these fences are executed in Phase 5 of the Territorial Control Plan, called “Extraction”.

“We continue executing the #Extraction phase of the Territorial Control Plan. We are not going to stop until we capture the last remaining terrorist. We will not allow small remnants to regroup and take away the peace that has cost us so much,” Bukele said on X (Twitter).

In La Campanera, a 7-year-old girl was deprived of liberty and later murdered in the same neighborhood. Her body was located inside a sack; In the case, 3 arrests have been reported, including the girl’s mother for “abandonment.”
