The Israeli ambassador to Colombia, Gali Dagan, denounced that the facades of his diplomatic headquarters were vandalized in Bogotá for the second time, after the outbreak of violence in the Gaza Strip.

“This is how 30 Hamas sympathizers who ‘demonstrated’ yesterday at our diplomatic headquarters left entry to our embassy,” the official tweeted this Wednesday on his X social network account.

He accompanied his publication with three photos of graffiti painted on the pavement surrounding the building, with messages such as “Israel Fascist State”, “Faggots against Zionism” and other expletives decorated with Nazi symbols.

A similar incident had occurred on Sunday, when some hooded men scratched the external columns of the building where Israel’s offices are located.

“Look at ‘the solidarity’ we received below the @IsraelinCol facilities,” Dagan said on that occasion.

Other Colombians have gone to the outskirts of the headquarters to express their support for Israel with flags and speeches, and have held days of cleaning the scratched facades.

Some citizens have taken advantage of the situation to question the speech of President Gustavo Petro, who has shown himself to be on the Palestinian side in his more than 100 tweets about this international conflict.

The war between Israel and Palestine broke out on Saturday, October 7, when the Hamas movement fired 5,000 rockets and killed hundreds of civilians in a violent raid.

The Israeli government responded with sieges and bombings, which have also killed hundreds of civilians on the Palestinian side.
