Nagaland: Department of Posts organized Philatelic Day on 11th October at Government Higher Secondary School Pafutsero and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Levoza under Nagaland Division.
Rajni Jha, SDIPO Kohima and ME Nagaland shared introduction to philately on importance of hand written letters in the digital age and Dhai Aakhar letter writing competition and importance of National Postal Week.
A total of six schools participated in the letter writing competition, with a total of 597 participants in both envelope category and ILC category. Two school philatelic clubs were established with 40 students each from both the schools.
The winner of the district level letter writing competition, Khroko Koza, Union Christian School Pafutsero received Rs 5000.
Veroli Ruho of Nazareth School Pafutsero and Neepe-U Mero of Government Higher Secondary School stood second and third and received Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 respectively. The five consolation winners include; Vithu-u Lasuh, Nazareth School, Kuzo Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Ngotsotolu Baptist School, Joy Seb, Baptist School and Mutulu Kezo, Government Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero.
