In the middle of the interview, the Barranquilla presenter asked Dangond what had been the hardest thing he had experienced during his stay in the city of Miami (USA).
“My disorder starting, I had not realized where I was living and where I was leaving my family. I arrived and wanted to continue my life the same as I was living in Colombia, so I arrived and stayed (if I had a concert) Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I stayed Monday and Tuesday to spend the guava and my wife and my children there alone. They were months of great sadness, my wife said what a torment it was for us to come here, you have abandoned your family even more, now on the weekends you stay in Colombia.”
The singer of hits like ‘Materialista’; ‘Marry me’; ‘Deny me three times’; Among others, he made it known that he did not assimilate the change immediately and only occurred as time passed.
“I was very bad with the excesses and I made a decision, my wife told me let’s go to a center and I told her yes I’m leaving (it was in January) I’m bad. When I woke up one day and told him: I’m not going to any center, I’m going to do this thing myself, and that’s how it was.”
“I remember that I went to play in Ocaña and I was spinning in bed, I was vomiting, I was sweating and that’s when I started: ‘I don’t drink, I don’t drink, I don’t drink.’ The same body asked me, then I said I don’t want to go home and I went to Barranquilla and spoke with a doctor who gave me some serums that helped me metabolize the body much faster to eliminate alcohol.”
