Muscat: The Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has issued notices to five hotels in Oman for violating Kovid precautions. According to a press release issued by the ministry, the move is aimed at breaking the rules that hotels have to abide by as part of curbing the spread of Kovid in the country.

Various government agencies in Oman are also conducting extensive inspections to ensure compliance with Kovid standards. Authorities urged all hotels and tourism companies in the country to comply with health and safety guidelines. Authorities have warned that failure to take precautionary measures could lead to draconian measures, including the closure of the facility.

Institutional owners who give access to those who do not wear the mask will also have to pay a fine. Those who refuse to wear masks should not be admitted to institutions. Security guards and police can be contacted for assistance. He said legal action should be taken, including taking the offending consumer to a later police station and taking him to court.
