Job Opportunity: Penetration Tester at Stockholm Police IT Department
Stockholm, October 13, 2023 – The Stockholm Police IT Department has announced a job opening for a Penetration Tester. The IT security section is looking for an experienced individual to join their team in conducting penetration tests on the police’s IT environments and systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating vulnerabilities within the police’s IT infrastructure, web applications, and IoT devices. They will actively plan and carry out hacker attacks to ensure the security of the police systems, including those connected to criminal records and police vehicles.
The job requires broad competence in IT infrastructure tests, web penetration tests, and Windows, Linux, and network infrastructure. Knowledge of mobile application testing (primarily iOS), large-scale operation and/or development in a complex IT environment, programming and scripting, participation in redteam exercises, bug bounties, or CTFs will be considered an advantage.
Applicants should have relevant post-secondary education in the IT field, preferably with a focus on IT security, or equivalent acquired experience. The position also requires fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
The selected candidate will work closely with the business and be responsible for translating test results into recommendations relevant to the situation. Strong analytical skills, independence, technical competence, and a keen interest in IT and information security are essential. Good cooperation skills and the ability to communicate effectively in groups are also highly valued.
