In Berlin, the pressure is growing on the SPD and its Senator for Urban Development, Andreas Geisel, to appoint the expert commission as quickly as possible to examine the options for implementing the expropriation referendum. “In the coalition agreement, we jointly agreed that an expert commission would be set up in the first 100 days,” said Left MP Niklas Schenker on Thursday. “I am therefore assuming that the Senate will make this an issue at its weekend retreat and then seek dialogue with the coalition factions.”
