The central government and the Tamil Nadu government, through the Indian embassy, took appropriate action and rescued us. They were constantly monitoring us and instructing us on what to do. Their rescue work was excellent. We are now safely back home.
Despite enduring the chaos and uncertainty brought about by the ongoing war, the students expressed gratitude towards the prompt response and assistance provided by the central and state government authorities. They commended the Indian embassy’s continuous engagement, ensuring their well-being throughout the ordeal. The area where we were staying was affected by terrorist attacks for the past week. Now we have come to India as we have received information that the terrorists have approached us within ten kilometers.
As soon as the war started, the Indian embassy started contacting us. In addition, we were contacted by the Tamil Nadu government. We were brought safely on the first flight, so happy.
Being caught in the midst of terrorist attacks, Gokul Manavalan and his fellow students were forced to evacuate the area immediately. With limited means of communication available, they were unable to contact their families. Consequently, their swift return to India came as a great relief to both the students and their anxious loved ones.
These incidents highlight the crucial role played by the central government, Tamil Nadu government, and the Indian embassy during times of international crises. Their quick response and efficient evacuation plans helped secure the safe return of these students.
