MADRID, 13 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has raised the death toll to 1,900 and more than 1,700 injured by the Israeli Army’s bombing of the Gaza Strip in response to the operation launched by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) last Saturday.

According to a latest report published this Friday by the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority on Facebook, a total of 49 Palestinians have died in the West Bank and more than 950 have been injured, while nearly 300 remain hospitalized.

The increase in the toll in the West Bank occurs after a total of 14 Palestinians have died during what Hamas calls the ‘Day of Rage’ in different cities, such as Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem and Tulkarm.

Last weekend the armed wing of the Islamist movement, the Ezzedin al Qassam Brigades, launched an air and ground offensive against Israeli territory. In response, Israel has attacked the Strip as part of Operation ‘Iron Swords’.
