This represents a change with respect to the data from January 2017, when Animal Equality began to work with companies to implement cage-free systems, since 93% of hens were caged in Spain and only 7% of these were caged. raised with alternative systems.
Work for cage-free systems
The co-founder of Animal Equality, Javier Moreno, has pointed out that this report is a call to action as well as an invitation to companies, consumers, legislators and activists to work for cage-free systems both in Spain and internationally.
