Given this scenario, 21 provincial capitals set historic highs in the ninth month of the year, with Barcelona in the lead (20 euros per square meter), followed by Madrid (17.7 euros per square meter), San Sebastián (16.9 euros per square meter), Palma (14.6 euros per square meter) or Bilbao (13.2 euros per square meter).

This same report highlights 50 neighborhoods or areas in Spain where rental income exceeds 18 euros/m2, most of them in the capital city (24) and Barcelona (18). The top-10 most expensive neighborhoods exceed 22 euros per square meter. Among these, six of them set their price record in the rental offer as in Madrid in the neighborhoods of Castellana (23 euros/m2), Almagro (22.8 euros/m2) or Chueca (22.1 euros/m2) , while in Barcelona, ​​Diagonal Mar and the Front Marítim del Poblenou (23.8 euros/m2) or San Pedro, Santa Catalina and la Ribera (22.8 euros/m2) are still below their ceiling.
