During the traffic inspections carried out by the police across the country yesterday, 342 drivers were reported for traffic crimes, 1 driver was arrested and 46 vehicles were banned from traffic.
According to the statement made by the Police Press Officer, the following traffic crimes were reported during the inspections in which 1779 vehicle drivers were checked:
“128 counts of driving above the legal speed limit, 26 counts of driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, 1 count of driving without a driving license, 72 counts of using a mobile phone while driving in traffic, 30 counts of driving without wearing a seat belt.”
– 4 people who were found to be residing in the country without permission were arrested
In addition, during the checks carried out by the police yesterday, a total of 4 people who were found to be residing in the country without a residence permit, although they did not have any legal status, were arrested and legal proceedings were initiated against them.
Police reported that the investigation continues.
