A. Mission of the position
As part of your role, you will handle all missions within your area of responsibility and advise management, employees and external partners as the main contact for all questions relating to to the thematic area concerned. You will provide advice and assistance in the formulation and production of targeted and relevant communication content intended to be disseminated via various internal and external platforms in line with the objectives of the country office.
In consultation with other members of the team and your line manager, you will also coordinate all requests from the business sector addressed to you so that they are handled diligently and competently. You resolve issues that arise in your area of responsibility based on existing regulations and report more complex challenges to your team.
B.1 Attributions
The position holder must:
Convey relevant guidelines, general conditions and restrictions relating to GIZ’s communications and public relations strategy and your room for maneuver in an understandable manner; Ensure compliance with these instructions. Coordinate the award of contracts, agree and conclude contracts in compliance with all legal requirements, contractual stipulations, social requirements and corporate policy; Ensure monitoring of their management or their execution; Develop and implement the communication strategy and the internal and external communication directives to be applied by the authorities and projects in the country concerned. Ensure that this strategy and these rules are kept up to date.
B.2 Knowledge Management
The incumbent will: Participate in the continued development of processes in your area of responsibility, be responsible for knowledge management and develop and disseminate documentation; Prepare and execute program communications activities; Prepare and produce materials communication according to the communication rules of GIZ, BMZ and the EU; Coordinate press activities with the national press of the country and with other media; Establish and maintain good working relations with partners of the project. Consult regularly with those responsible for communication from other implementing agencies; Ensure the representation of the project (visibility, image) in daily relationships;
B.3 Other additional tasks
The position holder must:
Produce quality communication materials according to the rules in a short time; Organize visibility events in an economical and efficient manner.
Qualifications, skills and experience required
Qualification
End of studies diploma (bac+3 at least) or equivalent training in a field related to the profile of the position (communication, marketing, etc.). Experience in a similar position would be an asset
Professional experience
5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
Required skills and abilities
Social skills: networking skills, team spirit, knowing how to collaborate with many stakeholders Knowledge of EU requirements in communication. Very good practical knowledge of the use of information and communication technologies ( e-mail, Internet) as well as computer applications such as MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Have a good network in the media sector in Guinea.
