The vision of economic modernization lies in the partnership and union between the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Jordan
Watan Al-Youm – Member of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Engineer Musa Al-Saket, said this morning that the lungs of the Jordanian economy are industry and trade.
This came during the pillar of the foundations of the national economy, reality and challenges, in the conference on the reality of investment in the Jordanian economy and the aspirations of the service and commercial sectors, which is organized by the Yasmeen Foundation to hold training courses under the auspices of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi.
Al-Saket added that the relationship between the commercial and industrial sectors is complementary, not competitive, stressing that the effectiveness of the economic modernization vision lies in the partnership and union between the chambers of industry and commerce in Jordan.
He called on the government to work to unify the chambers of industry and commerce, attributing this to the fact that 90 percent of the countries in the world have one chamber that includes industry and commerce, and some of them include agriculture.

Al-Saket stressed that we are facing a challenge and a dilemma that everyone must work on, which is that investment in the industrial sector (high-value industries) accounts for 30 percent of the economic modernization vision.
He concluded by saying that we do not have commodity diversification, and this is due to the high costs of production, energy and transportation, in addition to the difficulty of investment loans in exchange for facilities in consumer loans.
The pillars of the national economy in Jordan were attended by former MP Dr. Reem Badran, the Director General of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Mr. Tariq Hijazi, and a member of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Engineer Musa Al-Saket.
This morning, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi, opened the conference on the reality of investment in the Jordanian economy and the aspirations of the service and commercial sectors.
