Refriango promotes the implementation of tax stamps on alcoholic beverages

News from Angola – The beverage production, import and distribution companies, Refriango, Diref and Luanday, clarified, to business partners, doubts about the implementation of tax stamps on alcoholic beverages produced and bottled in the country, with a view to accelerating the implementation of these measures by all economic agents.

During a clarification session with customers and authorities, according to a note sent to Notícias de Angola today, the aforementioned companies had the assistance of the General Tax Administration (AGT) and those responsible for the National High Security Tax Seal Program (PROFESA ) to clarify the aspects surrounding the initiative.

PROFESA is an initiative by the Government of Angola to strengthen control over tax evasion, combat counterfeiting and increase tax collection. This law aims to apply tax stamps to specific products, to trace their origin and ensure that taxes due are paid to national authorities.

On the occasion, Refriango’s Director of Strategy and Development, Pedro Marecos, explained that all bottles of spirits with higher alcohol content, the only ones included in the first phase of PROFESA, already have the respective tax seals, reads the report .

As further in the statement, The clarification session took place at the Refriango facilities, in the Kikuxi Industrial Complex, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, where the drinks produced that already have digital seals are Gordon’s London Dry, Gordon’s Premium Pink, Vat 69, White Horse, Mr Dowells.
