As in the last three editions, the Prix de Botzaris, serving as support for the Sunday quinté, was won by a 4-year-old competitor. Still among the last at the entrance to the straight, Katoucha (n°1) finished at the speed of the wind, but failed a neck behind the winner. She precedes Duke of Conker (n°7) and Va S’y Mix (n°6), constantly noticed in the leading group. The quinté of this handicap contested on the 2,000 m route is completed by Through The Mist (n°8), which is slightly ahead of Plain Beau (n°3).
