Watan Al-Youm – The General Controller of the Muslim Brotherhood Association, Lawyer Muhammad Al-Qatawneh, sponsored a massive speech festival entitled The Flood of Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem in the Eyes of Jordanians, in support of the steadfastness of the people in Palestine in general and Gaza in particular.
In his speech at the festival, Al-Qatawneh stressed the depth of the fraternal and faith bond between the peoples of Jordan and Palestine, and the Jordanian role and efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II in defending all of Palestine, its land, its people and its sanctities. A reminder That the land of Palestine is the land of heroism and heavenly messages, and that on its soil are illuminated the heroics of jihad and models of martyrdom.
He said that the Al-Aqsa flood revealed a global struggle for their rights to their state, their land, and their holy places, and to defend their dignity and their blood.
Pointing to the association’s mission and vision in advocacy and national action, he highly appreciated a new generation of advocacy that is not immersed in problematic issues, but rather has a conscious mind and pure thought.
In his speech at the festival, Representative Ahmed Al-Asha Al-Dawayma stressed Jordan’s efforts in solidarity and support for the people in Palestine, both officially and popularly.
For his part, Dr. Fikri Al-Duwairi, Deputy Controller General of the Muslim Brotherhood Association, addressed the issue of the centrality of Palestine and Jerusalem, historically and presently. Mr. Samih Tarawneh also addressed the issue of the status of Jerusalem in the hearts of Jordanians, and Dr. Hassan Al-Zawaideh gave some thoughts about belonging to Al-Aqsa, Jerusalem, and the Holy Prophet’s ascension.
The festival included poems recited by the poet Dr. Adnan Al-Saudi and the poet Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalili, and periods of chanting, while the festival program was presented by Muhammad Al-Rantawi.
