Woman Injured by Rocket Attack from Gaza Strip on Route 4

Tel Aviv, Israel – In a disturbing incident yesterday, a woman was injured by shrapnel when a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip fell on Route 4, near Gush Dan and the Shefala region. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was given immediate medical treatment by MDA medics and paramedics at the scene before being evacuated to the hospital. She is currently in moderate condition with shrapnel lodged in her limbs.

Paramedic Oded Shinkman, the deputy director of the Ayalon region at MDA, provided insight into the situation, stating, “The injured woman was lying in the field beside the road beyond the separation fence while she was conscious and suffering from shrapnel injuries to her limbs. Citizens who were with her at the time of the injury provided her with telephone guidance from the MDA center and gave her initial medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding. We put her in the MDA intensive care unit and evacuated her to Tel Hashomer Hospital as her condition was determined to be moderate and stable.”

Moshe Malka, a volunteer medic at the Rescue Union, also played a crucial role in treating the victim. He revealed, “The victim was lying on the road and suffered shrapnel penetration in her limbs. We gave her initial medical aid, which included stopping the bleeding, and then she was taken to the hospital by ambulance.”

In response to the incident, the police have taken immediate action. They are currently investigating the scene where the rocket projectile fell in the Shefela sector on Route 4. The authorities are searching for additional remains to ensure the safety of the public. The police saboteurs of the Central District, along with officers from the Rishon Lezion station, have isolated the scene and are working diligently to remove any potential risks.

The police issued a statement urging residents to prioritize their safety. They advised citizens to remain in protected areas, avoid congregating in vulnerable areas, and refrain from approaching or touching any remains of rockets, as they may contain explosive materials. The public is encouraged to report any findings without delay to the 100 hotline of the Israel Police.

The recent barrage towards Gush Dan and the Shefala region has heightened concerns about the safety of the civilians residing in these areas. As tensions continue to escalate, it becomes imperative for the relevant authorities to prioritize the security of the population and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
