Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Gotgelf has died

Honored Artist of Russia cellist Alexander Gotgelf died at the age of 74. This was announced on Monday, October 16, by the press service of the Russian National Orchestra.

Gotgelf is a graduate of the Gnessin Institute, and since 1990 he has worked in the Russian National Orchestra as a concertmaster of the cello group. He performed with Igor Oistrakh, Mikhail Pletnev, Natalia Shakhovskaya. Gotgelf also carried out pedagogical work.

The date and place of the farewell and funeral of the musician and teacher have not yet been announced.
