The deadline for states and municipalities to join the National Public Security with Citizenship Program (Pronasci 2) ends this Monday (16). The terms of accession provide for cooperation between the Union and federated entities in actions whose resources come from the National Public Security Fund, the National Penitentiary Fund and the National Anti-Drug Fund.

One of the Pronasci 2 projects is the training grant, which aims to provide professional qualifications for members of the military, civil and criminal police, the military fire brigade, official criminal forensic bodies and municipal guards. In total, 100,000 training grants will be made available across the country.

The strategy provides for the payment of scholarships, worth R$900 per month, during the course, in strategic teaching actions aimed at improving the Democratic Rule of Law, strengthening the Unified Public Security System (Susp) and defending fundamental rights and guarantees, especially those relating to the protection of minorities and vulnerable groups.

Pronasci 2

Pronasci 2 is intended to coordinate public security actions for the prevention, control and repression of crime, establishing social policies and actions to protect victims. Some of the priority areas include confronting and preventing violence against women; the fight against structural racism and public security policies, focusing on vulnerable territories with high indicators of violence.
