Authorities from the NYPD and the medical examiner were called to the scene to remove the girl’s body, as passengers on the platform watched in silence. The news of the tragic accident left many in shock and disbelief.

“I heard the news. My heart goes out to their family,” expressed a witness at the scene. Another person added, “I felt so bad now, and nervous. I can’t imagine.”

According to the police report, the incident took place at around 6:30 a.m. as the teen was waiting on the platform for her morning commute to school. Suddenly, she fainted and fell onto the tracks, fatally struck by an approaching train.
