Former AIADMK minister OS Vijayanallathambi has filed a complaint against former minister KD Rajendrapalaji alleging that he embezzled up to Rs. In this case, the pre-bail petition filed by Rajendrapalaji in the Madurai branch of the Chennai High Court was dismissed. Following that, he disappeared. The Tamil Nadu Police set up special forces to search for the missing Rajendra Balaji. Following this, he appealed to the Supreme Court seeking pre-bail.
Rajendrapalaji was arrested in Karnataka-Hassan on the 5th a day earlier and remanded in judicial custody in Trichy jail, pending the outcome of the appeal, which was scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court on the 6th. Meanwhile, his pre-bail petition came up for hearing in the Supreme Court and he was granted interim bail for four weeks. Rajendra Balaji’s passport has been handed over to the Srivilliputhur court and he has been released on bail.
