The Council of State will study a lawsuit that seeks the loss of investiture of another member of the Historical Pact: the Antioquian senator Isabel Cristina Zuleta.
This is indicated by an order from that high court on October 9, in which the lawsuit against Zuleta for alleged irregularities is admitted after accepting in a radio interview that he financed candidates for the next regional elections.
The lawsuit was filed by Augusto de Jesús Osorno Gil, a member of the Colombia Humana Petrist movement.
According to the lawsuit, the congresswoman had violated the rule that “prohibits those who perform public functions from making any contribution to parties, movements or candidates, or inducing others to do so, except for the exceptions established by law.”
