The summer has been expensive for TVE, although judging by the audiences, they have made it profitable. If a few weeks ago the salary that Ramón García received for the return of the ‘Grand Prix’ on the public entity’s summer nights was known -140,000 euros for seven episodes-, in the last few hours the salary received by another of the stars has been revealed of the chain, José Mota. The comedian made a turnover of 175,000 euros for the first season of ‘José Mota Live Show’, which also had seven episodes. This is the highest salary along with that of Julia Otero, who also earned 25,000 euros per program.
José Mota’s new comedy show had a great audience result. It achieved an average of 10.3% share and 936,000 viewers, above the network’s usual data. It was only surpassed in prime time by the popular ‘Grand Prix’, which led the ratings nights on its return to the television grid.
José Mota also had four collaborators. Paco Collado, Mago More, Jorge Luengo and Susi Caramelo who charged 3,000 euros for each program. That is, 21,000 euros in total, according to the data revealed by the Transparency Portal to TVienes.
What has not been revealed is the salary that Patricia Conde has received as co-host of the ‘José Mota Live Show’. The comedian also returned to the public entity after her serious conflict with the ‘Masterchef’ producer.
Although the total cost for TVE goes beyond salaries. The production of José Mota’s program, commissioned to ‘Nueva Línea Producciones’, cost the public entity 2.1 million euros.
