Die Show-Sensation!
After 25 years, entertainer legend Stefan Raab (56) and the Brainpool company are going their separate ways. They do not want to continue their partnership, which expires at the end of the year, writes the media magazine “ DWDL“.
Raab’s big successful shows were all created in collaboration with the Cologne TV company: “TV Total”, the “High Diving” events, the “Wok World Cup” or recently “Schlag den Besten” and “Blamieren oder Kassieren” – these two were sold to RTL.

“Thanks to Stefan for the great journey together, he contributed significantly to the expansion of Brainpool and built a great entertainment catalog,” said the boss of Banijay (Brainpool is a subsidiary), Marcus Wolter.
All formats should continue to run, such as those by Sebastian Pufpaff (“TV total”) and Elton (“Disgrace or Cash in”, “Beat the Star”).

Brainpool retains the rights to the catalog of programs produced with Raab – with more than 4,000 program hours to date.
The Banijay company boss continued: “We will now evaluate and further develop this treasure together with our partners and the strong team. I am looking forward to leading Brainpool into the next chapter with my colleagues at Raab TV. We will prove ourselves worthy of Raab’s legacy and remain on friendly terms.”

Raab TV is in turn a subsidiary of Brainpool. Attentive viewers have already noticed that “Schlag den Star” was no longer named “Raab TV” but “Brainpool” as the production company.
A little foreshadowing of the sensational separation of the year.
