Inaugurated this morning in one of the most degraded areas of Messina and recently partially reclaimed ‘The Mosaic of Wonders’. This is a work of art created by nine Sicilian artists, promoted by Birra Messina Cristalli di Sale and created thanks to the support of the Me.SSIn.A Foundation and in collaboration with the Italian Youth Association for Unesco (Aigu) and with the patronage of the Municipality of Messina. “The Mosaic of Wonders – underlined Ilaria Zaminga, external Communication Manager of Heineken Italia – is a collective work for the community which has the precise objective of paying homage to Messina and its wonder, the whole of Sicily, a land rich in traditions, art , culture and beauty of wonder”.
“Since the year of the relaunch throughout the national territory in 2019 – he added -, Birra Messina has paid homage to Sicily throughout the country by trying to shed light and enhance the beauty and wonder of the island with a series of initiatives. Come on glasses, designed and created to enhance Sicilian art, up to the ‘Sicily feels’ project, which gave prestige to young entrepreneurs on the island. It is a work that is part of a process of valorisation of the territory and all of Sicily. First of all the partnership with the Messina Brewery, with which we have been collaborating since 2019 while respecting the specific autonomy and identity. A work of art that remains available to Messina and which we hope will be appreciated and enhanced by the whole city. It was created by nine artists among the most important Sicilian ceramists, identified thanks to the partnership with Aigu, representing the Sicilian cities precisely to enhance the beauty of the entire island”. The work was created by ceramic masters Melinda Alaimo, Maria Grazia Bonsignore, Paolo Caravella, Antonio Fratantoni, Giuseppe Manganello, Magda Masano, Nicolò Morales and Liborio Palmeri, coming from 8 locations on the island, including the 6 municipalities that are part of of the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities. Among the objectives of the initiative is the celebration of the ancient tradition of Sicilian ceramics, famous throughout the world and the flagship of Made in Italy.
