Ghost Novemberthe joint initiative of the San Sebastian Fantasy and Horror Film Week, Fancine – Malaga Fantastic Film Festival, TerrorMolins – Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival e Calavera Island – Canary Islands Fantastic Film Festival City of La Laguna, is back for another fall to celebrate its fourth season by expanding its catalog of content related to the fantasy and horror genre. More than fifteen unpublished proposals will make up the new audiovisual installment of this edition, which will be progressively uploaded to the platform starting this Tuesday, setting the premiere of the publications in October for another year.
In this way, the four festivals once again bear witness to their collaborative commitment to this common programming that will serve as a prelude to the next editions of the competitions, as an online complement to their in-person billboard and their agenda of parallel activities.
As usual, this program will be made up of a varied selection of pieces that will disseminate content related to the fantasy genre in the cinematographic field. The Donostia Horror Week will schedule a talk by the American expert on terror culture David J. Shellin addition to a meeting with the actresses Lone Fleming y Marian Salgado.
For its part, TerrorMolins will also add the dialogues that the veteran director will have with her viewers Targarona Sea (The cuckoo) and the director Caye Houses (The dining room table), along with a masterclass on the role of witches in horror filmography by the film and gender expert Mireia Iniestaand a talk about “terrifying comics” starring the prolific illustrator and filmmaker Borja Crespo.
The fancinera contribution will materialize through four videos, among them, an interview with the film critic Carlos Aguilarin which he will talk about his latest book, Horror Cinema 1950-1959, back from the dead; and a conference Jose Fernandez de Vegadirector of Buñuel in the Turtle Labyrinth, which will explain the adaptation process of this work. The Malaga festival will put the musical note to this collection with the concert of the heavy group Santo Rostro.
Three more pieces will arrive from Calavera Island – Canary Islands Fantastic Film Festival City of La Laguna: the actor Eduardo Noriega will “open their eyes” again with the island audience after the screening of the classic Alejandro Amenábar; Sam J. Jones will return to space in a talk about Flash Gordon and the 90th anniversary of King Kong by the hand of Jesus Palacios.

With the incorporation of this new batch of titles, the permanent list of videos from Ghost November It already has fifty pieces, additional content that includes interviews with prominent protagonists of the current cinematographic scene, film analysis, meetings with the public and other educational proposals.
Origins of Ghost November
Ghost November was born in 2020 as a result of the restrictions imposed by the health crisis, thus creating a collaboration network between some of the main genre festivals in the country, which share common objectives and the same philosophy and style. It is a project with a vocation for permanence whose purpose is to offer its own label material throughout the year, in addition to working in a coordinated manner to instill among the general public a taste for fantasy and other related genres, forming a quarry.
The platform also facilitates the confluence of the public of the respective events, in order to promote a national fandom that encourages participation and reciprocity. After four years of activity, Noviembre Fantasma has established itself as a meeting point for fans of the fantasy genre from the different venues, connecting them virtually with twinned events that they can be part of despite the distance.
