Time.news – On October 21st, the first Italian edition of Forces of Fashion: Vogue’s global event that talks about the world of fashion through the voices of its protagonists.

The event, free upon reservation, is organized thanks to the collaboration and support of the Department of Major Events, Fashion, Tourism and Sport of Roma Capitale, the institutional partner of the initiative.

During this event, one of a kind, the public will have the opportunity to meet those who design the collections, those who live them, those who tell them and those who wear them, in a dialogue between generations, sensitivities and attitudes. A unique opportunity for all those who love fashion and who will be able to experience it firsthand with the protagonists of the sector, the great stylists and the new generation, the editors of Vogue and the film stars.

The event will be characterized by a rich program that will connect the worlds of fashion, cinema, made in Italy and craftsmanship. Workshops, experiential spaces and talks will be hosted in the two large pavilions of the former slaughterhouse in Rome.

At the end of the day, there will be a special live performance co-curated by Achille Lauro, Nick Cerioni and Mirta, the digital showroom that enhances independent designers: it will be called “Les enfants terribles” and will be an immersive experience of the first fashion show with the creative direction of Achille Lauro, Nick Cerioni and Mirta and created by future designers from the fashion schools associated with Piattaforma ETS Fashion Training System. The presentation of the collection, supported by Golden Goose, will be accompanied by a DJ set by Achille Lauro.

The contest aimed at helping new generations of talents and allowing fashion students and the world of work to meet comes to a head. An immersive installation dedicated to the brand’s heritage will open the doors of the Vogue Italia archive, with the most iconic covers to be discovered up close, just as those who dream of visiting the magazine’s wardrobe will be satisfied, with dream dresses and iconic accessories .

An area will be dedicated to showing how the newspaper’s visual storytelling is created with images and graphics: Laura Marino, Art Director of the newspaper, will also hold a talk on stage about the visual story of fashion. This will be one of the masterclasses that will take place on stage, in a program that will also include a speech by Yashica Olden, Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Condé Nast, together with Rosie Gaunt, Social Impact Manager YOOX NET-A-PORTER, moderated by Susanna Owusu Twumwah, Communication Specialist for Development, Migration and Diaspora Project, a styling session and dialogues dedicated to the fashion supply chain and sustainability.

Among the activities planned within the spaces of the Ex Mattatoio, designed to allow the Forces of Fashion public to experience an immersive fashion experience, there is also a workshop designed by Gianpiero Urzetta, in collaboration with Accademia Costume & Moda. In fact, it will be possible to closely observe the work that takes place inside a Haute Couture laboratory thanks to five pairs of students from the Accademia Costume & Moda who will create some of the iconic looks worn by the actress Isabella Rossellini in the film “Blue Velvet”. The special setting up of the workshop, which will allow visitors to discover the passage of time inside a real live Atelier, will be curated by Gianpiero Urzetta, founder of Gianpiero Urzetta Macchine e Attrezzature per il Sewing and tailoring consultant with -how for over 30 years at the service of fashion houses and the main events that revolve around them.
