At the initiative of the prosecutor’s office of the Luninets district, with the invitation of officials and workers of agricultural enterprises in a mobile court session, the state prosecution was supported in a criminal case against a tractor driver – he was charged with misappropriation of entrusted property.
Illegal actions were identified during supervisory activities carried out by the prosecutor’s office. In particular, when visiting the mechanized yard, the prosecutor’s officer, together with a representative of the district police department, discovered the absence of a tractor in the evening, which was assigned to one of the employees of the agricultural enterprise.
During an inspection of the tractor driver at his place of residence, a tractor and canisters with 205 liters of drained diesel fuel were found in the courtyard of the household.
The stolen fuel was seized.
At the court hearing, the accused admitted guilt and repented.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor and the evidence presented by him, the Luninets District Court pronounced a guilty verdict. Based on Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the accused was sentenced to restriction of freedom without being sent to an open correctional institution for a period of 2 years with a fine of 50 basic units (1,850 rubles) with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to accounting , storage and disposal of inventory items, for a period of 2 years.
The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed and appealed.
After considering the criminal case, the state prosecutor spoke to the employees of agricultural enterprises present at the court hearing and told them about responsibility for crimes and offenses against property.
