The president of the Detroit Synagogue, Samantha Woll, 40, was found dead at the entrance to her home with multiple stab wounds on her body.
According to some local media, from CNN to AB, the police believe that she was stabbed inside her home.
The Isaac Agree synagogue confirmed the death of the woman, who led its board, with a statement in which it said it was shocked and deeply saddened: may her memory be a blessing.
The authorities, quoted by ABC, say they were contacted by a phone call warning of a person lying on the ground. Upon his arrival, the police could only find Woll’s death, which had been caused by several stab wounds. A trail of blood connected the place where the body was found with the woman’s house where, according to the officers, the stabbing took place.
The investigations are ongoing, and at the moment there are no privileged leads on the motive for the crime.
