A man was rushed to the hospital after what the police are calling a suspected attempted murder in central Östersund. The incident occurred late Saturday evening on Rådhusgatan, where the injured man was found. The severity of his injuries is currently unknown, according to Jessica Jonsson, the commanding officer of the police in Jämtland.
Police arrived at the scene just before 10 p.m. and promptly cordoned off the area for trace protection. Two individuals were arrested during the night, a few hours after the incident, on suspicions of being involved in the crime.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police have indicated that the criminal classification may change as more information becomes available. Residents of Östersund are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
