Medical cooperation: Bancroft serving the health of Burundian troops in Somalia
Jowhar Air Field (Somalia), October 20, 2023 – Aligning with Burundi’s foreign policy, particularly in terms of defense, particular vigilance is paid to the security and public health of the contingent of the Burundi National Defense Force (FDNB). This Friday, the Health Office of the Burundian contingent, participating in the African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia (ATMIS)received a visit from a medical team from the Bancroft company [1]. This meeting is part of a mentoring program aimed at strengthening the skills of medical personnel within this contingent.
Burundi deployed its troops to Somalia to support GUAN [2]a mission that has continued for several years.
