KINSHASA – The results of a survey carried out by LEGRANDOŒIL.COM, in order to measure the voting intentions of the population, on behalf of the presidential election of December 2023 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the outgoing president is the candidate most cited by respondents, obtaining support of more than 74%, ahead of Moïse Katumbi, Fayulu (10%), Martin Fayulu (8.3%) and Matata Ponyo (0.8%). This even if all the games are not yet made.

Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, finds himself in a very favorable position with a representative sample of 15,100 voters registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI). According to this survey, this is largely due to its political affiliation with the Sacred Union of the Nation, a coalition of major political parties and influential figures spanning the entire country.

Cited in all provinces, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi has a particularly high rating in Greater Kasaï (average of 97%), followed by Kinshasa (71%) and Greater Katanga (45%). The survey reveals that the reasons which pushed respondents to choose it were its local development program in the 145 territories, free education, free maternity, the success of the 9th Francophonie Games, etc. . But with a downside in the weaknesses noted for the capture of Bunagana by the M23 as well as the depreciation of the Congolese Franc against the Dollars.

He is followed by Moïse Katumbi Tshapwe, who obtains 10%. The latter is particularly popular in the Haut-Katanga province, with support of 47% on average. But also with some positive mentions in Maniema (30%) and North Kivu.

Martin Fayulu Madidi comes in 3rd place with 8.3%. It benefits from popularity, the greatest of which is concentrated in greater Bandundu with 70%, followed by Kinshasa with 40%. In fourth position is Matata Ponyo Mapon, which scored 0.8%. With a main concentration in Maniema, its province of origin. He is cited for actions such as the stability of the exchange rate, the banking of state civil servants’ salaries, as well as the creation of transport companies such as Congo Airways and Transco.

The results give at the end, Delly Sesanga as well as Constant Mutamba with scores of 0.3% and 0.1% respectively.

Furthermore, let us point out that another survey from August 22 to September 14, 2023 among 987 Congolese on voting intentions in the DRC carried out, for the Kuna agency based in Paris, by the One to One institute established in Tunisia and national partner of Afrobarometer, candidate Félix Antoine Tshisekedi is the favorite, with 43.6%, Moïse Katumbi (24%) and Martin Fayulu (16.2%). 25% of respondents were previously undecided.

Another carried out in March 2023 by the Léger Institute, the largest polling, marketing and analytical research firm in Canada, Félix Tshisekedi would obtain 48% of voting intentions, followed by Moïse Katumbi at 23% and Martin Fayulu at 16%.

Clearly, all these predictions confirm the study by the American Social Research Agency “Geopoll”, conducted from June 28 to July 25, 2022 with a sample of more than 10,000 people spread across 33 cities and 145 territories in the DRC. . More than half of those surveyed would be ready to vote in favor of President Tshisekedi.
