European Parliament approves text on drastic reduction of disposable packaging in the EU

The European Parliament’s Environment Committee adopted this Tuesday (24) a bill to reduce the use of disposable packaging within the bloc. To this end, Brussels wants to impose mandatory levels of packaging reuse for each sector (e-commerce, food, drinks, etc.), establish a minimum recycled content rate for plastic containers or restrict empty spaces in packaging.
