It’s decided, the next Rugby World Cup in 2027 will increase to 24 teams, four more than currently. World Rugby, which approved the principle, has not yet specified which confederations would benefit from it, but Africa, currently limited to two representatives, hopes to have a third to encourage countries to invest in this sport.
