Burkina/Passoré: citizenship celebrated under the sign of attachment to the symbols of the national flag

Yako, October 23, 2023 (AIB)-Under the aegis of the Secretary General of the Province (SGP) of Passoré, Noélie Béréhoumdoudou/Kaboré, the starting point of the commemorative activities of the 20th edition of the National Citizenship Week (SENAC) was given Monday to the High Commission of Passoré.

As part of the launch of commemorative activities for National Citizenship Week (SENAC), the military, paramilitary, VDP and representatives of the Passoré bodies were strongly mobilized very early in the morning of Friday in front of the High Commission. of the province to mark their attachment to the symbols of Burkina Faso.

During the ceremony, the representative of the High Commissioner of Passoré, Noélie Béréhoumdougou/Kaboré, first recalled the meaning of the country’s emblem.

Then, she declared that the national flag is the expression of the existence, sovereignty and resilience of the Burkinabe people.

Then, Ms. SGP made it known that “respecting these symbols is a kind of affirmation of the existence of Burkina Faso, a commitment to consolidate its sovereignty and above all to demonstrate citizenship and attachment to Burkinabe social values. »

During the SENAC, several awareness-raising, exchange and consultation activities are planned in Passoré like other localities in the country.

These include, according to Noélie Béréhoumdougou, the competition on civics for the benefit of students in post-primary establishments in the 13 regions of the country, public conferences on civics and citizenship and above all a national day of health and citizen actions.

Very satisfied with the mobilization of the bodies constituted by Passoré, the SGP asked them to make this week a success and to be fully involved in all the activities included in the celebration program.

As a reminder, the SENAC which is held from October 23 to 27 at the national level is placed under the theme: “Citizenship in action for the reconquest of the integrity of the national territory”
