A young man who disappeared 15 years ago was found in recent days. He was two years and six months old when he disappeared at the bend of an alley coming from the backwater with many other children and an older sister except that everyone returned that day without him, not a man closed the eye this evening in 2009 and the organized search no longer made it possible to locate the child.

Fifteen (15) years later, that is to say, a few days ago while leaving for Dakar, the older sister of the boy’s mother from yesteryear was able to find a trace on the basis of a simple conversation had with the driver who carried it.

Returning from Dakar, she also traveled with the same driver with whom she explored the question of the young apprentice driver he knew and whose family is in Tountouroun.

The young man was contacted on the grounds that it was for a trip and several members of his original family came to visit him and discover the closeness of his traits to his paternal family. His mother was also contacted and indicated that when she lost her child, he had two signs including a line on one of his eyebrows and a scar on the other arch which is the trace of a few stitches born from ‘a fall from a log and both signs were indeed present.

The young man’s father’s older brother and his mother’s older sister who traced the link took the step of speaking openly to the boy who felt shocked and shed tears.

The young man was taken to an Islamic home in Matakaou from where he ran away with one of his classmates after 7 years before ending up at the Tountouroun mosque from where they were adopted, the other boy managed more late to find his people, not him.

At present the young man’s biological family would be in Matakaou trying to find traces of the man who once left the little boy there.

DNA analyzes were also carried out and confirm that Ibrahima Barry, renamed Ibrahima Sow (the most common name in the Tountouroun sub-prefecture), carries the blood of her original family.
