The AMPA denounces the delay in the start of the course and the delay in the hiring of teachers

The AMPA of the Culleredo professional music conservatory is once again mobilizing due to the lack of teachers, a problem similar to the one that motivated the rallies that took place from February to May.
The parents of students blame “inattention” and “deixadez” for the fact that the course started two weeks late and still did so without five teachers: three piano teachers, one flute teacher and one guitar teacher. «The explanation for the delay given by the management of the cloister is that in this way they tried to minimize the impact of the absences of these five teachers», they explain from the AMPA of the conservatory. In this sense, they specify that “they are affected by half of two more than a hundred students what does the center have, not to mention that there is no accompanist pianist to prepare the auditions and the works». “The professional music conservatory is an official and regulated educational center, it cannot be treated as another extracurricular activity”, they point out.
They question that although on October 4 they were informed of the completion of the selection process for the temporary coverage of these positions, twenty days later they have still not been filled. «We want teachers, already!”, they specify from the association of parents of students and remember that “we already have a banner”, in reference to the concentrations of last year.
For the entity, which ensures that it only claims its rights, this new problem demonstrates on the part of the Council of Culleredo its «inefficiency and lack of interest in resolving the problems of personnel loss that we have been suffering for many years». Asimismo, the priests criticize that they have to continue waiting even though there are five candidates who have accepted their incorporation.

From the Municipality They specify that of the five places, three are due to sick leave, one is due to a leave of absence and only in the case of flute it is due to a vacancy, but the offer has already been published and the results are in the weighing phase. Likewise, they point out that they are at the awaiting inspection by Intervention of the calls made to personnel registered on the replacement lists. In this sense, they acknowledge that they already agreed two weeks ago to fill those positions. “It will be immediately,” they emphasize from the council.
