Six editors will therefore curate the Top News Stream section, which includes both general news and local news from the region. The test will be limited to Apple devices. So far the app is available in Europe. Springer launched it a few years ago in partnership with Samsung. The app aggregates and curates news content from other media brands. Initially, Upday was available on Samsung devices, but now you can use it on other devices as well. In general, Springer sees a growth market for its group portfolio in the USA. Recently, for example, the media group acquired the Politico media group in the journalistic area.

Springer also announced that a senior editor-in-chief position had been created at Upday. So far, there have been editors-in-chief related to individual countries. Michal Wodzinski takes over the higher position, as the media house further announced. He is currently the editor-in-chief of Upday Poland, and this position will be filled. In his new role, he will be responsible for all of Upday’s journalistic products and offerings.
