Vivien Leroy (LR), 1st deputy mayor of Bondoufle in charge of communication, information and the environment, already saw herself succeeding Jean Hartz (SE). But the disagreements between him and the chief magistrate got the better of his mandate. On October 18, the elected official resigned from all of his political commitments. His decision follows in particular the election of a new finance deputy… from the opposition benches.
“I do not adhere to these methods, I prefer to resign from my mandates as deputy and municipal councilor,” he says with confidence. What ignited the powder was the election of Arnaud Barroux to the post of deputy in charge of finances during the municipal council of September 12. “Arnaud Barroux left the majority six years ago and set up an opposition group,” continues the resigning deputy. During this council, a member of our team offered himself for this position. But the mayor preferred to turn the situation around secretly. Asked about his return to the majority, Arnaud Barroux assumes. “I got closer to the municipal team as soon as the budget was voted on,” he explains. Then, we explained ourselves to the mayor, both about our political and personal differences. He also gave me guarantees on points that I had developed in my program, whether for city events or on the problems of insecurity that I denounced. What matters to me today is that we move forward together for the interests of Bondouflois and the city. »
On the opposition side, the return of this dissident who led an uncompromising campaign against the mayor during the last municipal elections is sharply criticized. “They spent six years insulting each other and now they are going backwards without any respect for their voters,” reacts opposition municipal councilor Sabine Nagel (PS). The fact that the mayor made the municipal council choose between Arnaud Barroux and a member of his team clearly shows that he knows full well that this is not normal. He wanted to absolve himself of his responsibility and wet the entire majority. This vote will leave its mark, it accelerates the decomposition of its team and its majority. »
