The IMSS clarified the information regarding the alleged death of people inside a hospital in Acapulco due to Hurricane Otis.
According to the most recent report, 27 fatalities and four missing people have been recorded due to this natural disaster.
During the last few hours, the alleged death of 16 people inside a hospital in the area has circulated on social networks. Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) due to the impact of Hurricane Otis In Acapulco. IMSS undertakes emergency actions due to Hurricane Otis
For its part, to address the effects caused by the Hurricane Otis, the IMSS sent to Guerrero an immediate action group made up of eight doctors and eight nurses trained to provide support along with the personnel in the area.
Likewise, it also provides the population with preventive health actions, ranging from vaccinations or issues of injury.
In parallel, by instruction of the Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer Varela, and with the coordination of the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, emergency response teams were transferred to collaborate with the Operational Command for Health Security and provide timely monitoring of the effects caused by these hydrometeorological phenomena in Guerrero, Michoacán and Oaxaca.
Hurricane Otis has caused 27 deaths
