There will be at least eight French people in the final draw of the Masters 1000 at Paris Bercy, which begins on Monday October 30. The Federation (FFT) has indeed chosen to issue Wild cards to an “old” Richard Gasquet (69th in the world) and to three members of the new generation: Luca Van Assche (63rd), Benjamin Bonzi (87th) and Alexandre Muller (84th). For Gasquet, 37, this will be his 16th participation in this Masters 1000 at Paris Bercy. His best result was a semi-final in 2007.

They therefore join the four other French people directly admitted to the final table: Adrian Mannarino (24th), Ugo Humbert (28th), Arthur Fils (38th), who benefited from the packages of Borna Coric and Denis Shapovalov, and Gaël Monfils (89th) . Winner on Sunday in Stockholm, the 12th tournament of his career, Monfils activated his protected ranking for the last time (35th) to participate directly in this Master 1,000 at Paris Bercy.

Grégoire Barrere (71st) and Arthur Rinderknech (82nd) were unsuccessful and will therefore have to go through the qualifications which begin on Saturday. They will be joined by Hugo Gaston (92nd) and Arthur Cazaux (126th), Térence Atmane (137th) and Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard (194th) who have obtained invitations to participate in these qualifications. If Gaston set the Accor Arena on fire by reaching the quarter-finals in 2021, the other three have never participated in this tournament.
